Dr. Jendy Cooper at Kokomo Animal Hospital

Dr. Jendy Cooper, DVM

Dr. Cooper was born and raised here in Kokomo, IN. She graduated from Western High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Kokomo. In May of 2005 she graduated from Purdue University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation from veterinary school and attaining her DVM, Dr. Cooper became an associate at Kokomo Animal Hospital.

Jendy has been married to Wade, her husband, since June of 2003. They are the proud parents of 4 children. Jendy and Wade enjoy spending time with family and friends. The family supports animal rescue, and have a Golden Retriever mix named Frank.

Dr. Cooper is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the Wabash Valley Veterinary Association.

Dr. Aileen McDivitt at Kokomo Animal Hospital

Dr. Aileen McDivitt, DVM

Dr. McDivitt attended Purdue University for both undergrad studies and vet school. She achieved her DVM from Purdue in 2000.

Since graduation, Dr. McDivitt has been an associate at Kokomo Animal Hospital. Aileen has been married to her husband Dave since 1996. Together they have 3 daughters that keep them very busy.

The McDivitt’s also have 4 furry kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

The McDivitt’s enjoy spending time together as a family and being active members of Maple Run Friends Church. And, if she has any spare time, Aileen enjoys quiet time with a good book.

Dr. McDivitt is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the Wabash Valley Veterinary Association.

Dr. Lindsey Pence, DVM

Dr. Lindsey Pence grew up in Greentown, IN., and graduated from Eastern High School along with her husband. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in 2010, and then graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After earning her DVM, Lindsey completed an internship in Fort Wayne, IN., and then moved back to the area to join the team at Kokomo Animal Hospital.

Lindsey and her husband Zack have been married since October of 2013, but the two have known each other since starting grade school together. They enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, shooting archery, and spending time with their pug Winnie who is always finding new adventures to get into. They are both excited to be settling into their new home in Howard County and looking forward to the year ahead.

Lindsey fell in love with all animals at an early age and enjoys horses in her free time, especially riding her horse, Mani. She also likes reading, playing volleyball, and relaxing. Dr. Pence is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Mark Stanforth at Kokomo Animal Hospital

Dr. Mark Stanforth, DVM

Dr. Stanforth was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana. And is the son of Dr. Carl Stanforth, DVM. Mark graduated from Haworth High School and then went to the University of Minnesota for undergraduate studies. Dr. Stanforth transferred to Purdue University, where he earned his DVM degree for Purdue in 1982.

In 1990, Dr. Stanforth and Madelyn moved their family back to Kokomo following his father’s retirement, and began his practice at Kokomo Animal Hospital.

Dr. Stanforth has 3 daughters: Michelle, Lisa, and Marla. The Stanforth’s thoroughly enjoy their three grandsons.

Together as a family they enjoy outdoor recreation, primarily motorcycling, fishing, boating, and hunting with “May”, an 11 year old GSP that is almost always “a constant companion of” Mark and Madelyn. May even joins in with Purdue football tailgating.

Mark and Madelyn are active members of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. As Purdue Alumni members, they support Purdue Athletics. Professional memberships include the American Veterinary Medical Association, Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, and Wabash Valley Veterinary Association.

Dr. Marvin Van Kley at Kokomo Animal Hospital

Dr. Marvin Van Kley, DVM

Dr. Marvin Van Kley grew up in northern Indiana. He attended Purdue University from 1968- 1974. After graduation Dr. Van Kley worked for 3-1/2 years in a mixed animal practice in Princeton, IL. In 1977, he and his wife moved to Kokomo and he became an associate at Kokomo Animal Hospital. From 1980 to 1988 Dr. Van Kley also served as the Howard County Coroner.

Marv is married to his high school sweetheart, Bonnie. Together they have two children, Tammy and Jeremy. And 6 grandchildren who are the pride and joy of the Van Kley’s.

When Marv and Bonnie aren’t spoiling their grandchildren, they enjoy antiquing. Marv also loves working with plants and the landscaping around their home.

The Van Kleys are active members of the Kokomo First Church of the Nazarene. Besides serving on the church board, Marv has taught a bible study class since 1982. Dr. Van Kley is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the Wabash Valley Veterinary Association.

Dr. Adam Vernengo at Kokomo Animal Hospital

Dr. Adam Vernengo, DVM

Dr. Vernengo (ver-nang- o) was born in Glendale, California. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University of Northridge. He then went on to Ross University to achieve his DVM in 2003.

Dr. Vernengo has been an associate at Kokomo Animal Hospital since 2003. Adam has two children one boy and a girl.

Adam enjoys taking care of the prized saltwater fish tank in our lobby. Although very time consuming, he enjoys maintaining and occasionally adding to the occupants.

Dr. Vernengo is a board member of the Wabash Valley Veterinary Association, and the Kokomo Humane Society, and a member of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and American Veterinary Medical Association. He makes himself available for community events such as the Barktoberfest.
